Walking in Luigi's Shoes

My GGF Luigi LoPresti was a shoemaker in Sicily.  So was his father.  He immigrated to New Jersey in 1903. He sent for his wife Maria and two daughters Assunta and Paola.  My GF Angelo was born in Perth Amboy, NJ in 1911.  Here they are at Coney Island circle 1920. 

On July 2, 2022, during Enna's annual festival (Due Luglio) I met 14 Sicilian cousins for the first time.

We met for a traditional three hour lunch (pranzo).  I then bought an ancient stone house in the Centro Storico of Enna Alta to be near them.  And to walk in Luigi's shoes.
